Stripe and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations


Stripe customers in certain locations may receive an email from Stripe with the following information:

You may be using an integration flow that doesn't comply with certain Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, specifically those preventing the storage of card credentials and requiring tokenization consent from your customers.

Stripe announced this in mid-February 2023.

You do not need to contact WHMCS Technical Support to report receiving this email.

Latest Update

WHMCS is working to identify the changes that are necessary for our application. This work has been assigned the internal case ID MODULE-7686.

It is unlikely that a software update will be ready before March 15th 2023 due to the short notice of this change.
