DigiCert SSL Planned System Upgrades on April 6, 2019
Digicert are performing planned system maintenance that will require downtime for all certificate ordering, order checking and fulfilment services for all DigiCert SSL brands (RapidSSL, GeoTrust & Symantec).
The maintenance event is planned to begin at 15:30 UTC April 6 (8:30 Pacific April 6) and complete by 3:30 UTC April 7 (20:30 Pacific April 6).
The downtime will prevent all organizations, including DigiCert, from processing orders, checking order status and issuing certificates across all brands and certificate types. DigiCert has issued early notice to allow planning and preparation now.
During the maintenance window, MarketConnect will respond with the following error message for all orders, reissues, and validation actions which communicate directly with DigiCert.:
Unable to communicate with the Symantec Service. Please try again later.
During the downtime, the DigiCert seal services and revocation validation services (CRL and OCSP) will continue to operate normally. Current certificates and trusted seals will function without disruption from this move. DigiCert will also have processes in place to handle emergency revocations.
