Configuring your First Payment Gateway
Watch the video below for steps to configure your first payment gateway, or scroll down to read the illustrated guide below.
Payment Gateways are the means by which customers pay you for services. They are a crucial step to setting up every instance of WHMCS.
First, navigate to Configuration > System Settings > Payment Gateways (Setup > Payments > Payment Gateways in WHMCS 7.10 and earlier).
WHMCS is compatible with several dozen gateways. A complete list of the supported gateways is here.
Choose All Payment Gateways to view the full list of gateways.
On the page listing all of the available payment gateways, click on the desired gateway.
This example uses the Stripe Gateway.
After you choose your desired gateway, the configuration form for the gateway will appear.
For this example, enter the data that you retrieve from the Stripe console.
Each gateway will ask for different information. For a full description of each gateway's configuration requirements, see the Supported Gateways list.
Click Save Changes. You can now start accepting payments.
WHMCS does not limit the number of gateways you can activate, allowing clients to choose their preferred payment method. Repeat this process for each additional gateway you wish to configure.
