Part-Paid invoices overcharged via PayPal Payments

Symptom

After updating to WHMCS 8.12.1, clients paying invoices via the PayPal Payments gateway will be charged the full invoice subtotal when paying a part-paid invoice, instead of the balance.

The issue has been logged with our development team with case reference WHMCS-21375.

Solution

Update to WHMCS 8.12.2 or above.
